Ron is an experienced fundraising executive who has assisted over 50 non-profit institutions around the country to raise millions of dollars. He directed North Carolina State University’s successful $225 million capital campaign and provided counsel to Winthrop University, Marshall University, and Georgia Tech. He has personally solicited numerous multi-million dollar investments. He has served a wide variety of clients, including public universities, independent schools, youth service organizations, historic preservation clients, and cultural and art organizations including the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
Ron’s effectiveness in fundraising centers on leading non-profits to adopt measurable objectives, a high degree of accountability, and documenting the impact an organization has on its community. As the Associate Vice President at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Ron supervised a development staff of 35. He was the architect who designed the campus-wide university campaign that recently concluded with $711 million of support.
Ron’s experience covers all aspects of development, including development audits, board development, strategic planning, periodic counsel for multi-million dollar capital campaigns. He has worked extensively with Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development organizations to develop strategic initiative programs and to secure funding for their implementation.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond, a Master’s degree in Education, and has completed his resident work for a Ph.D. He has spoken at CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) and AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals).
